2010 Festival Concert
Please join us for performances by 2010 North York Music Festival award winners to be held on June 19 and 20 at 2 p.m. at the new destination mall Shops at Don Mills located at Don Mills Road and Lawrence Avenue East.
June 19 Concert will be hosted by Alexa Petrenko of Classical 96.3. Following some very impressive solo performances by our award winners, the concert will feature Kindred Spirits Orchestra with 3 soloists each playing a movement from a concerto. Eli Karpinsky, age 13, will perform Grieg Piano Concerto; Nicole Li, age 15, will perform Sibelius Violin Concerto; and Sarah Velasco, age 17, will perform Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto.
June 20 Concert will be hosted by Luba Goy of the “Canadian Air Farce” fame. The programme includes a Concerto for Three Violins by Vivaldi, numerous works by Chopin, Liszt, Mendellsohn, Tchaikovsky and Debussy. The performers’ ages range from 6 to 26. You will be absolutely amazed by what these young musicians can do!
